Hello! Thanks for checking out my page regarding my trip to Ecuador in December 2010! I am raising funds to help pay for the costs associated with this travel-study. In order to make this happen, I need help from you- my friends and family. If only 140 people donate $25, the bulk cost of the trip will be covered!

For those who have been reading for awhile, I tried to raise funds to take this trip in 2009; however, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to make the trip or raise the funds. For the 2010 trip, I will be eligible for additional financial aid and scholarships that should cover approximately half the trip; therefore, I decided to wait a year when the trip would be more feasible.

My goal for total funds to sponsor this trip is $5,000.00. This will cover both the primary and secondary costs below.

Primary Costs:

$3,354 covers housing, meals, showers, and hand laundry. Also includes cost of instruction/tuition for 6 credit hours applied toward my degree. Counts toward 3 credits Anthropology and 3 credits Health and Behavioral Science.

I greatly appreciate any amount you are willing to donate. Also, gift cards to Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart would be helpful to purchase gear I need. I will keep this page updated as well as blog postings, Twitter, and Facebook, letting everyone know the progress towards the goal!

Should my application for the travel-study be rejected for any reason, I plan to donate any funds raised to the Angels With Paws cat sanctuary located in Wheatridge, CO. If you would prefer the donation be returned to you if my application is rejected, please let me know in writing at the time you send your donation.
